Todd and Eric clean up after a Fourth of July parade that apparently included monster trucks, mystery clowns, fire-truck candy, silly string, marinara explosions, and a parade of snails that threatened to bring civic celebration to a crawl.
In this episode:
White cleanup suits, long-handled dustpans, metal trash cans, and a cash prize for the heaviest garbage collection.
Oscar the Grouch becomes a possible tactical advantage, assuming his trash can is bigger on the inside.
Balki from Perfect Strangers serves as Grand Marshal while monster trucks create a tense clown-related moral crisis.
Firefighters arrive to investigate the parade smoke and apparently decide to join the parade instead.
Red, white, and blue silly string, Chef Boyardee’s spaghetti volcano, and marinara blasts turn the parade route into a sticky disaster zone.
Snails, clowns without makeup, McDonald’s mascots, and the slogan “The snails always win” receive the serious analysis they deserve.
This was less an organized civic event than an outdoor experiment in controlled disorder, and it is considerably harder to clean than anyone advertised.
Todd and Eric do not win the parade. They do attempt to win the garbage-can weight competition while wearing white.
