Many of the earlier episodes contain insights into my history and who I am. As such, I’m not going to go too in depth here, but I can give a quick overview so that you’ll have some notion as to who you are listening to before you dig deep into the archives.
I am a middle aged white guy, living in Columbus, Ohio. I have a wife and some wonderful daughters, most of whom have made the occasional appearance on the podcast at one time or another.
Professionally, I work for a software company. I’m not going to tell you who they are for three reasons: 1) It is not really relevant for you to know as it adds no context to the podcast, 2) I try not to talk about my “day job” on the podcast, and I’d rather not tempt fate and risk the chance of getting fired, and 3) they are not paying me to advertise for them.
When I am not doing “real work” or creating TodCast content, I enjoy games of all sorts. I like playing card and board games with my family, miniature wargames (like Warmachines and Hordes), and role playing games (like Dungeons and Dragons).
I am a huge Star Wars fan (if you couldn’t tell by virtue of our series of “Spoiling Star Wars” episodes) and I also collect comic books.
I was once in the United States Navy, as part of the Seabees, and served for a little over four years (in a rare moment in our history that we can consider “peacetime”)… so that sometimes comes up on the podcast as well.
