Boston (The Band): Music Ranked!

We reach the number four slot on Eric’s list:  the band Boston (not the geographic location).  We talk about how awesome their first album was…and are less kind to the remainder.  It turns out that Eric’s memories (and ranking criteria in 2007) hearken back to tomato-based shenanigans rather than the mathematics he now employs.

Although Eric had Boston high on the charts in 2007, Todd wasn’t as familiar and didn’t have many memories surrounding the group or their songs. The boys discuss their thoughts on the band and also touch on the following:

  • Boston is not the actual first choice for Todd when it comes to Boston based bands.
  • What exactly did Eric do while on lunch during high school?
  • Tom Scholz signature sound and the surprise that he wasn’t the lead singer of the band.
  • How far did the band drop in Eric’s ranking (mostly because of their last four albums)?
  • Why Todd and Eric say Boston’s debut album is one of the greatest?

This episode was recorded prior to the 2020 pandemic but released during the pandemic. Todd makes mention at the start of the show that he was traveling to Eric’s house during the recording. At the time of release, Todd was not traveling and following COVID safety guidelines.
